Magnolia Village Winterfest

Christmas Tree Lighting at Magnolia Garden Center

Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 5PM with the Magnolia Girl Scouts and Campfire Girls singing Christmas songs accompanied by lots of Magnolia residents. After a rendition of "Oh, Christmas Tree" at 5:30 join us as we light the tree for the 2015 Christmas Season.

Afterwards, join us at Magnolia Garden Center for our annual Holiday Open House. We will be serving tasty pastries to sample along with kids and adult beverages. Open till 8PM.

Village Winterfest Celebration

Bring the kids for a fun afternoon starting at 2PM. Activities will include Carolers, Live Reindeer, Photos with Santa, Treasure Hunt, Merchant Window Display Contest, Winterfest Raffle, Gauranteed Snow, Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides and, of course, the Tree Lighting! http://www.magnoliachamber.org

Spring Classes at Magnolia Garden Center

Vegetable Gardening for Beginners

A great class/workshop to get you started correctly growing tasty, healthy, home grown vegetables. You will learn what to do to prepare the growing area whether its just a pot or a full in-the-ground vegetable garden. We'll cover what vegetables need to grow well, what to plant and when to plant it, and beneficials to make growing easier. You will leave with a garden plan for your space, a season scheduler for the vegetables you want to grow and a list of vegetables that you can expect to grow well in our area. You will also have a chance for some hands-on experience planting seeds and transplanting vegetable starts and will be to take home some of the planted vegetables for your garden. All ages are welcome to attend. Sign-ups are required. There is a supply fee of $10 to cover the cost of plants, seeds and soil that you will take home ready to grow.  Our instructor, Claire West, managed the St. Mary's Urban Farm in New York City and now runs the Kitchen Garden at St. Marks Cathedral in Seattle and has worked at Magnolia Garden Center since 2009. Holiday Happenings

Magnolia Holiday Open House & Vino in the Village

Friday November 21st from 6PM to 9PM

Welcome the Winter Holiday Season.  Start the season off with a fun celebration at Magnolia Garden Center and Magnolia Village - an evening of treats, drink and entertainment. A great chance to preview what's new for the Holidays. Get inspired by decorating ideas for your home, find great hostess gifts for the upcoming party season and check out gift or card ideas for hard to please friends and relatives. Other locations in the Village will also feature DJ and live music.  Food, beverages, treats for all.  Special features and lots of fun for all. 

This year the Vino in the Village fall wine walk is also on tap for the evening. So, in addition to the Open House you will be able to join in and taste some of the offerings from 14 wineries. Merchants in the Village are hosting wineries from Washington state who will be pouring samples from their featured vintages. The Vino in the Village benefits the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce and costs $25 for ten tastings. To sign up go to Magnolia Chamber of Commerce.  Come on down and enjoy the season.

Join the merchants of Magnolia as we host a dozen wineries for a night of sampling and enjoying their offerings. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the night of the event. Pick up tickets at Umpqua Bank in the Village (corner of W. McGraw and 32nd Ave. W.) 6PM - 9PM

April 25th

A mix of brewers and distillers will be offering their products for tasting on this evening in the Magnolia Village. There will also be a band providing accompanying music for your pleasure.                   6PM - 9PM

November 22, Magnolia Garden Center Holiday Open House

6 til 9 PM featuring great hors d'oeuvres and beverages - hot spiced cider & wine tasting.  Around the Village that evening: Many of Magnolia's businesses will be welcoming residents saying "thanks for your support this year." Musical treats include: Caroling by the Magnolia Chorale. Live music at The Brik Boutique.  Live music at Serendipity Cafe and Lounge featuring the Kennedy Brothers @ 9PM.Pipe Organ music at Magnolia Ace Hardware courtesy of Santa! Special hor d'oeuvres offerings at Szmania's. Special Greek plate at Niko's Gyro's. Come preview the holiday offerings and our special Garden Center and Gift ambiance to help kick off the season of festivities. Rain, snow or shine its always a night to come out.

WinterFest December 6th

5:30 PM Caroling starts with the Magnolia Girl Scouts and Campfire Girls at Magnolia Garden Center followed by the traditional tree lighting at 6:00PM.  This year come and meet Santa and enjoy the joyful sounds of Christmas Carolers, viewing special Holiday Art by local artists, sampling tasty treats, delicious wines for the adults and hot chocolate or cider for the kids! Event runs till 9PM

Magnolia Winterfest November 30th, 6 - 9pm- Santa and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

 

Bring the kids to the Garden Center for the official kickoff to the Holiday Season with the annual Magnolia Christmas Tree Lighting. Caroling starts at 5:40. We will choose one child from the audience to flip the switch and turn on the Christmas Tree lights! Then help yourself to some hot cider or perhaps an adult beverage and stroll through the Magnolia Village to see what everyone has set up for the holidays.

It's time for a "Guys and Gals' Night Out" in Magnolia Village!  One with shopping, tasting, sipping and pampering!  The monthly "Night Out" series are events just for you on the second Thursday of every month.  Better yet - we, the participating merchants of this great event, want to reward you for coming into our stores!

There will be door prizes, gifts with purchases and exclusive offers so you don't want to miss this event!  Leave the kids with dad and head out for a fabulous night with your BFF!

Saturday February 7, 2009 

Clean N Green Clean-up in Magnolia.  Volunteers cleaned up the Village and some of the surrounding streets in the Magnolia neighborhood.  Garden Center owner Margaret Flaherty led one of the clean-up groups around the Village raking up, picking up trash and getting things generally spruced up.
